Doncaster bar launches Charity Cocktail
Published: 18/1/08
Que Pasa in Doncaster is launching a new ‘charity cocktails’ initiative, which means that throughout the month of February, 10% of every cocktail sold on a Friday night will be donated to a worthy cause in Doncaster.
Well known for their freshly made cocktail recipes, the new Que Pasa initiative will apply to every cocktail sold from 8pm onwards. Rather than nominating the organisation themselves, they are inviting local groups to apply for the privilege.
Bar Manager Dudley Annible said: “We recognise that in the current climate it’s often difficult for local charities to raise funds and decided that we could do something to help.
“Cocktails are a big seller at Que Pasa, especially on our busy Friday nights, so we thought we could turn our cocktail success into a community money-spinner as well.”
The only condition is that the organisation must be Doncaster based. “It doesn’t matter how small you are – we are simply looking for a group in the area that provides a vital service or gives support to the community.”
If you would like to apply to be the Que Pasa Cocktail Charity for February simply write to Emma Hunt at Vital, 14a Clarendon Avenue, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire CV32 5PZ giving some brief details of your organisation and what you need the money for. All applications must be received by Friday 25 January.
