Olde world inn gets a new world facelift

The historic Original White Hart Hotel in Ringwood has been reopened
The inn now offers fifteen stylish bedrooms, tastefully redecorated with brand new bathroom suites.
Managers Dave and Angie Smith said: “We are absolutely delighted with the refurbishment which has moved the hotel from ordinary to superior.
“We have been very careful to preserve the inn’s historical past which dates back to the 16th Century. The pub in fact emerged from royalty - as Henry VII himself suggested the name after hunting white hart in the forest nearby and resting at the inn.”
It is rumoured that Henry VII captured the beautiful creature, put a gold collar around its neck, and released it in Windsor Great Park – giving the hunting inn its iconic name.
The Original White Hart now serves an array of traditional pub food fit for a king - from thick steaks to game pie - and it now offers a children’s menu that would tempt a prince.
And a good meal deserves a good drink - the Original White Hart offers a range of real ales and thoughtfully-selected wines.
Area Manager Mike Haw said: “Marston’s Inns and Taverns is proud to be able to provide the local community, and those visiting the area, with a relaxing meeting place for diners and drinkers, combined with the warm and homely hotel rooms. We look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike.”
The Inn is the latest to undergo the Marston’s Inns signature refurbishment. Marston’s Inns is a selection of pubs across England & Wales that offer accommodation combining the essentials of a hotel with the warmth of your local pub.
