About Us
We are proud to say that Marston’s Inns and Taverns has a fantastic heritage dating back to the earliest days of Victorian brewing in England, but it’s not as simple as just giving you the history of Marston’s brewery in Burton-Upon-Trent. Marston’s today is made up of some of the finest breweries and pub companies from across the country.
From the early to mid 1800’s, Marston’s, Banks’s, Jennings and Mansfield breweries were all formed, brewing superb cask beers across England.
Over the years, these companies have been brought together under one roof, and now form the modern day Marston’s PLC.
We are also particularly pleased to have added a number of excellent pub companies to our business over more recent years, including Wizard Inns, Burtonwood PLC, English Country Inns, Celtic Inns and latterly Eldridge Pope.
Marston’s now has four breweries;
- Marston’s brewery, Burton-Upon-Trent
- Banks’s brewery, Wolverhampton
- Jennings brewery, Cockermouth
- Ringwood brewery, Hampshire.

Marston’s PLC also run over 1700 leased and tenanted pubs through the Marston’s Pub Company. These are pubs which are leased from us by entrepreneurs who have the opportunity to run their own business in partnership with our highly knowledgeable support team.
